Hiruy ABDU, David A. ROBINSON, Janis BOETTINGER, Scott B. JONES

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2017, Volume 4, Issue 2,   Pages 135-145 doi: 10.15302/J-FASE-2017143

Abstract: Knowledge of the spatial distribution of soil textural properties is important for determining soil moisturestorage and soil hydraulic transport properties.electromagnetic induction (EMI) mapping in low apparent electrical conductivity (EC ) soils at varying soilwater contents to capture time invariant properties such as soil texture.m × 50 m field included a subsurface gravelly patch in an otherwise homogeneous silt-loam alluvial soil

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2015, Volume 9, Issue 2,   Pages 269-278 doi: 10.1007/s11783-014-0672-y

Abstract: Soil moisture variability in natural landscapes has been widely studied; however, less attention hasTherefore, a case study was carried out in the Beijing Olympic Forest Park to continuously monitor the soilprofile where moisture was mostly below field capacity. In the profile where irrigation was sufficient to maintain moisture above field capacity, gravity flowled to increased moisture with depth and thus eliminated the influence of texture.

Analysis of Data Sets With Different Microwave Remote Sensing Mode in Soil Moisture Retrieval

Yuan Wei,Li Zongqian,Liu Ning

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 6,   Pages 50-56

Abstract:

The scattering coefficient and emissivity are both very sensitive to the moisture content of baresoil surface, which is the essence of measuring soil moisture by using microwave technology. The methods and characters of three microwave remote sensing modes for soil moisture retrieval are discussedthe paper analyzes the distribution of isomoisture regions of different data sets, and presents that soilmoisture information can be retrieved by using ANN with appropriate input data set.

The Influence of Priori Knowledge on Soil Moisture Inversion by Using Passive Remote Sensing

Tang Lu,Li Zongqian,Shi Changsheng,Wang Xin

Strategic Study of CAE 2005, Volume 7, Issue 3,   Pages 53-58

Abstract:

It's pointed out by this paper that the priori knowledge of random rough soil surface is neededin soil moisture inversion by using passive remote sensing, so the precision of priori knowledge hassurface height distribution, soil temperature, and soil texture.Simulation result shows that it's feasible to invert soil moisture by neural network (NN) based onmoisture is allowable even there is some uncertainty on these three kinds of priori knowledge.
